Detailed description
Clean Industrial Design
The EdgeSwitch 5XP is designed to operate at the two lower logical access levels: utilization and distribution. Due to its hardware base, the device is able to handle a significant load and maintain segment switching with the rest of the LAN even under heavy traffic.
The computing part of EdgeSwitch 5XP includes a processor with a frequency of 400 mHz and RAM of 64 MB, which is enough for timely processing of all incoming packets. For storing system information, backups and other data, the developers have provided 8 MB of permanent memory, which allows you to store important information except logs.
Network interface of 5 Ethernet ports with a bandwidth of up to 1000 Mbps. Each of their connectors is able to distribute power according to the scheme Passive PoE 24V, which allows you to avoid the use of additional blocks in the network structure, thereby simplifying its maintenance. It is worth noting the presence of a special Ethernet console port and USB-connector. Although the latter is present in the network interface, it is reserved for future functionality and is currently not active.
