Introducing the MikroTik CRS112-8P-4S-IN, a high-powered networking solution. The CRS series, including the CRS112-8P-4S-IN, is driven by RouterOS, merging the capabilities of a fully functional router with those of a manageable switch enhanced with Layer 3 (L3) features. Within its interface, all the specific Switch configuration options are readily accessible through a dedicated Switch menu.

However, what sets it apart is the flexibility it offers. You have the freedom to reassign ports from the switch configuration, repurposing them for routing functions as needed. This versatility empowers you to take control of your network's behavior, allowing for tasks such as port-to-port forwarding, MAC filtering, VLAN configuration, traffic mirroring, bandwidth regulation, and the fine-tuning of MAC and IP header fields.

The CRS112-8P-4S-IN features eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, each equipped with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. These ports offer the convenience of various power output options, including autosensing 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ and Passive PoE. Additionally, it boasts four SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) ports, providing versatile optical fiber connectivity options, and supporting uplinks with speeds of up to 1 Gbps. This array of ports ensures your network remains adaptable and ready to meet evolving needs.

The MikroTik CRS112-8P-4S-IN offers a host of advanced networking features that boost your network's performance and security. It ensures smooth data flow with non-blocking Layer 2 switching capacity, as well as efficient routing via a 16K host table. You can handle up to 4,000 VLANs simultaneously with IEEE 802.1Q VLAN support, and enhance security through port isolation, port security, and broadcast storm control.

The switch also provides port mirroring for detailed network analysis and includes Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) for added redundancy. Features like Access Control Lists (ACLs), MikroTik neighbor discovery, and SNMP support give precise control over network access and simplify network management and monitoring. Lastly, the switch includes support for 9,204-byte jumbo frames for improved data transmission, IGMP snooping for optimized multicast traffic handling, and static link aggregation for performance and redundancy.

The CRS112-8P-4S-IN features a secondary DC jack on the back of the enclosure, which supports a 48-57 V power supply (not included but available for purchase separately). When connected to 48-57 V DC input, the CRS112-8P-4S-IN can power 802.3af/at devices, automatically detecting and providing the correct power to devices.
