Detailed description

Dual Chain 5GHz System with Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Support for Long Distance Links with Satellite Offset Dish Antennas

The MikroTik LDF 5 ac, with the manufacture part number RBLDFG-5acD, is a high-performance wireless device designed for long-range point-to-point links or as a CPE in point-to-multipoint setups. The LDF (Lite Dish Feed) is an outdoor wireless system with a built in antenna, meant to be installed on satellite offset dish antennas. The dish will act as a reflector, amplifying the signal. This means you can use any available satellite TV dish with an offset mount to quickly deploy powerful long range wireless links. The offset mount is universal at 40 mm diameter, and the LDF can easily be placed inside it. Since the LDF itself is a tiny little package, it makes shipping and deployment simple and low cost.
This device is built on an ARM 32bit architecture and is powered by an IPQ-4018 CPU with 4 cores operating at a nominal frequency of 716 MHz. It runs on MikroTik's versatile RouterOS, equipped with a Level 3 license, providing extensive features and customization options. The LDF 5 ac includes 256 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage, ensuring smooth operation and sufficient space for configurations and firmware.
The wireless capabilities of the LDF 5 ac are impressive, with a 5 GHz max data rate of 867 Mbit/s, supported by 2 chains. It adheres to the 802.11a/n/ac standards, ensuring compatibility with modern wireless environments. LDF 5 ac (International) supports 5150MHz-5875MHz range (Specific frequency range can be limited by country regulations). The antenna gain for 5 GHz is 9 dBi, providing robust signal strength for extended range. The wireless chip model is IPQ-4018, which is a Wi-Fi 5 generation chip, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
The LDF 5 ac is designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, with a tested ambient temperature range of -40°C to 70°C and an IP54 rating, indicating protection against dust and water splashes. It also holds various certifications, including CE, FCC, IC, EAC, and ROHS, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
