Tiny size 2.4GHz Dual Chain access point with a 650MHz CPU, 64MB RAM and one Ethernet port
The MikroTik mAP lite, with the part number RBmAPL-2nD, is an ultra-compact and portable wireless access point designed for both personal and professional use. Built on the MIPSBE architecture, it features a QCA9533 CPU that operates at a nominal frequency of 650 MHz. This device is well-suited for small scale applications where space and power efficiency are critical. The mAP lite is MikroTik brabd smallest wireless access point. It is barely larger than a matchbox, we even had to use a special Ethernet port to match it’s slim profile. The mAP lite is a dual chain 802.11 b/g/n device and operates in 2 GHz.
The mAP lite runs on MikroTik's RouterOS with a license level of 4, offering a comprehensive range of features including firewall, bandwidth management, wireless access point, backhaul link, hotspot gateway, and more. It is equipped with 64 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage, providing ample capacity for RouterOS functionalities and configurations. You can carry it anywhere: use as a travel router to extend that hotel internet to all your devices, or as a client device to improve your laptop signal range, the tiny mAP lite will be always with you.
Dimensionally, the mAP lite measures just 48x49x11mm, making it one of the smallest wireless access points available, perfect for travel or space-constrained environments. Despite its size, it supports a 2.4 GHz wireless frequency with a maximum data rate of 300 Mbit/s, adhering to 802.11b/g/n standards. This setup includes two chains and an antenna gain of 1.5 dBi, ensuring a robust and reliable Wi-Fi coverage for its size. It can also serve as a simple configuration tool for your servers, if there is no ethernet on your mobile device.
Connectivity is facilitated through a single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, providing a fast and stable wired connection. For power, the mAP lite can be supplied via MicroUSB or PoE-IN, with a low maximum power consumption of just 3.5 W. It supports the 802.3af/at PoE standard, with an input voltage range of 10-60 V, adding versatility in power options and deployment scenarios.
Designed to operate within a wide temperature range of -30°C to 70°C, the mAP lite is suitable for various environments, further enhanced by its passive cooling system which ensures it remains operational without generating additional heat. The device boasts an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of approximately 100,000 hours at 25°C, indicating a reliable performance over an extended period. The mAP lite holds certifications from CE, FCC, IC, EAC, and ROHS, complying with multiple international standards for safety and quality. With an IP20 rating, it is designed for indoor use where it is protected from touch by fingers and objects but not resistant to water or dust.
